Libraries Without Borders has been working with Oxfam Ghana since 2018 with financial support from Oxfam IBIS. Together, we’re implementing a project to improve education for children, particularly girls, in the Kpandai and Sawla districts of northern Ghana.
In September 2019, two girls-only Ideas Box kits were established in two “schools of excellence” with Oxfam’s support. Four Ideas Cube kits were also installed in coeducational schools. BSF experts provided initial and follow-up training for Oxfam staff and teachers from all participating schools. The training ensured everyone could use the tools and resources—both physically and technically—and empowered them to integrate the available content into their daily activities.
