Libraries as a Refuge for Escape and Rebuilding

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale offensive against Ukraine. Since then, the figures have been staggering: 300,000 deaths, 8 million Ukrainians seeking refuge across Europe, and 5 million internally displaced persons within the country. From the outset of this invasion, BSF has mobilized to protect, support, and guide Ukrainian residents, displaced individuals, and refugees both within the country and across Europe.

As the head of a European consortium, we support libraries in their role of welcoming exiled populations by sharing good practices, resources, and networking.
