In Tanzania, BSF deployed Ideas Boxes in the Nyarugusu, Nduta, and Mtendeli refugee camps in the Kigoma region to support young refugees, primarily from Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Deployed in partnership with Save the Children and Plan International, these educational and cultural spaces enabled adolescents to resume learning and develop their creativity. Through reading workshops in local languages, film clubs, digital activities, and homework revision sessions, the Ideas Boxes offered young people opportunities for expression, play, and acquisition of essential skills in a context of prolonged exile.
